I think the children of today and the near future will eventually have to watch more and more films/tv shows/other mediums to catch up to society’s expectations of basic pop culture know how, and until they do, they will meet various forms of disdain and insult about something they couldn’t really be blamed for.

So what if someone hasn’t seen Star Wars? It ain’t the worse thing in the world.

You mean it’s not policy to force every newborn to watch The Princess Bride, Star Wars, Coming To America, and Die Hard? I am in shock.
